MARKETTREND Advisors, the Company
MARKETTREND Advisors is a full service investment advisory firm serving individual investors as well as the RIA and Registered Rep communities for the benefit of their clients. We seek long-term growth of capital by investing in the broad market through index funds, according to the primary market trend. A fundamental tenet of MARKETTREND investing is that money can and should be made in both up AND down markets. Accordingly, we specialize in managing our client's money per the TimingCube model and strategies to achieve their individual wealth building objectives.

MARKETTREND Advisors, Ltd. is a limited partnership based in Austin, Texas, and an S.E.C registered advisor (See Advisor Brochure (ADV Part 2A) for official declarations). The founding partners established the company during the fall of 2004 in response to strong demand from TimingCube subscribers for such a managed account service.


MARKETTREND Advisors, the People
The founders and partners of MARKETTREND Advisors combine extensive backgrounds in finance, computer science, executive management and investment services. Four of the five founding partners are also principals at highly regarded TimingCube.


Serge Dacic
President and Chief Executive Officer

Serge Dacic
As President and Chief Executive Officer of MARKETTREND Advisors, Serge is responsible for the overall strategy and operations of the company.

Serge brings more than 14 years of corporate management and software engineering expertise to MARKETTREND Advisors. His career includes a wide spectrum of management and technical positions in companies ranging from startups to Fortune 500 corporations.

During the five years prior to founding MARKETTREND Advisors, Serge served as Co-Founder and Executive Vice President of TimingCube as well as Chief Technology Officer for two separate start-up firms focused on Internet security and online collaboration.
In his spare time, Serge studied investing and the markets. This interest, combined with his computer science background, led Serge to a collaboration with Frank Minssieux on a new type of market timing. The promise of their model induced Serge and Frank to found Fraser Partners LLC (dba TimingCube) in 2001, and eventually found MARKETTREND Advisors.

Serge Dacic received his Ph.D. in Computer Science focusing on Artificial Intelligence as it applies to image processing and adaptative systems from Paris XI University, France. During his tenure at Paris XI, he taught graduate computer science courses on User Interface Design, Usability and Software Ergonomics.

Don Lansing
Chief Investment Officer

Don Lansing
As Chief Investment Officer of MARKETTREND Advisors, Don is responsible for defining and implementing our investment strategies as well as overseeing our trading operations.

Throughout his 20+ year career, Don has been involved in almost every aspect of finance. He spent over 18 years with Advanced Micro Devices gaining experience in a wide array of corporate finance areas. From there, he started an independent investment advisory firm focused on serving individual investors. This desire to serve individual investors and deliver the benefits of the unique MarketTrend investment strategies led to his role in co-founding MARKETTREND Advisors.

In addition to his work with two investment advisory firms, Don teaches finance at a local university's graduate business school.

He has a passion for helping people better understand and improve their financial lives. Don holds a Series 65 license and is a Registered Investment Advisor with the S.E.C. and the Texas State Securities Board.

Don received a degree in business with a concentration in investments from the University of Texas at Austin and an MBA from St. Edwards University.

Garrett Beauvais
Registered Investment Advisor

Garrett Beauvais
Garrett joined MARKETTREND Advisors in July 2005 and became a partner in August 2006. Garrett serves as portfolio manager for many blended accounts, conducts stock and ETF research, and assists in the development of new portfolio strategies. Previously, Garrett was with Advanced Micro Devices performing a variety of roles in Corporate Strategy and Marketing in both the U.S. and Europe. In his most recent role, Garrett managed AMD's $200+ million global marketing budget for their microprocessor division. Prior to joining Advanced Micro Devices, Garrett facilitated North America market planning and venture investments for Kyocera Corporation and was responsible for Kyocera's first presence on the World Wide Web.

Garrett holds an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin and a BA in Psychology from the University of California, San Diego.
Garrett’s desire to help individual investors began as a teaching assistant for Personal Family Finance at the University of Texas at Austin where he taught undergraduate lessons in investing, personal tax preparation, and Texas Family Law.

Garrett holds a Series 65 license and is a Registered Investment Advisor with the S.E.C. and the Texas State Securities Board.

Frederique Dacic
Chief Compliance Officer

Frederique Dacic

Frederique joined MARKETTREND Advisors as Chief Compliance Officer in October 2011. She will also ensure customer oriented back-office management, keeping to the Company's principles and philosophy, as Chief Administrative Officer.

Frederique was Administrative Director for a large tourism company in France for 7 years. She was in charge of Human Resources as well as the overhaul of the Company's computer system, re-organizing all jobs accordingly - this, in the pre-internet era. After moving to Austin with her family in 1993, Frederique enjoyed presiding a non-profit organization and volunteering extensively in area schools. More recently, Frederique was Operations Manager for an internet retailer in Austin and showed an innovative spirit and strong analytical
skills that were of significant benefit to the company.

All through her diverse experience, Frederique has kept to her goals: providing reliable and efficient service, showing good team spirit and unwavering ethics.

Craig Brandt
Director of Information Services

Craig Brandt
Craig joined MARKETTREND Advisors in September 2005 and became a partner in January 2007. Craig is responsible for the design, implementation and support of the firm's technical back-office programs. In addition, Craig provides client support as needed.

Before joining MARKETTREND Advisors, Craig served in various management positions at Crossroads Systems, Dell Computer, IPC Technologies and Tandem Computers in Austin, TX. His extensive experience includes positions in product/project management, engineering and lab management. He managed the interoperability testing operations at Crossroads and had project management responsible for the integration of disc storage into the standard PC offering at Dell. At IPC Technologies, Craig was responsible for the product management for three product lines and he provided product
management support for the ISD storage product line at Tandem Computers. Prior to moving to Texas, Craig worked at Concurrent Computer Corp. in New Jersey as product manager and principal member of the technical staff.
